Where the ice giants of the Bernina massif tower high above the glaciers, some concentration is in demand. Time and again one has to think back to the motive of one’s coming here! “Did I not want to come here to ski?” Instead your look roams constantly over the chasms to the silvery glaciers, the ice walls and the white peaks which you can almost touch. Those who would like to experience this fantastic feeling several times must only decide if they want to try out the glacier lift and return by way of the final stretch, or if they want to test their stamina by daring to tackle Switzerland’s longest glacier run in the direction of Morteratsch.
Across the valley, in the afternoon sun, the Lagalb, queen of the ski mountains, temptingly invites for beautiful swings on Engadine’s most demanding ski run. There, the ski tour hit over the southern flank of the mountain to La Rösa in the Puschlav valley takes off. Take care: Unmarked run!
